We Clean Process Tanks

NOVEMBER 2021

Dredge Robotics technology continues to be extensively utilised across the mining industry to clean process water tanks outside of shutdown windows.  Our globally unique robots can operate in high water flow environments and are equipped with sonar navigation systems allowing precise navigation and obstacle avoidance in extremely turbid water. The team have recently been busy in the Pilbara working for several iron ore majors.  They have completed cleans of several large overflow tanks, removing nearly 2000m3 of compacted sediment from a 30.78m diameter tank, and over 3000m3 of sediment from a 41m diameter tank. This month the team are looking forward to a change of scenery as they move back into the goldfields to start some exciting projects with new clients. Our amazing technology eliminates all human entry and allows tanks to remain fully operational during cleaning.

Introducing Watertight Robotics

JANUARY 2018

Fremantle Commercial Diving is proud to introduce our new division, Watertight Robotics. Our new service includes a fleet of robots capable of cleaning water storage tanks and reservoirs without the need for human entry or taking the asset offline. Tanks and reservoirs can be cleaned safely without disturbing sediment or impacting on water quality.  In tackling our drying climate water efficiency is becoming increasingly important.  There is a real cost associated with sourcing, filtering and moving water through a scheme system.  If water is wasted unnecessarily this results in a loss of real money.  Our new Watertight Robotics technology will deliver increases in water efficiency, delivering both a financial and environmental benefit to our clients.  The other obvious benefit is safety.  Replacing divers with underwater robots will remove risks associated with human entry, including confined space entry. The use of robotic cleaning will not only revolutionise potable water asset maintenance, but will also have applications in other industries.
